The Study Report of Sustainable Aviation Fuel Development Pathway was officially released at the 15th China Airshow. The report, a collaborative effort by Civil Aviation Flight University of China (CAFUC), the China International Sustainable Transport Innovation and Knowledge Center, Airbus, and China Southern Airlines, provides a comprehensive roadmap for SAF’s future.
The report emphasizes the growing global SAF supply chain and China’s unique position to lead the industry, leveraging its resources and technological strengths. This pioneering research outlines the history, production technologies, market trends, and challenges of SAF, offering valuable insights for the global aviation community.
At the release event, experts expressed their commitment to expanding SAF development, advancing sustainable aviation, and fostering global cooperation. Professor ZOU Lin of CAFUC led the presentation, joined by LIU Peng of China International Sustainable Transport Innovation and Knowledge Center, XU Gang from Airbus, and WU Yingxiang of China Southern Airlines.
The SAF report marks a significant contribution to China’s commitment to green aviation and was also showcased at the COP29 in Baku, underscoring China’s leadership in promoting sustainable energy development.
