The “Novel Aero-Power” Parallel Forum of ICGA2024 was Successfully Held

The “Novel Aero-Power” parallel forum of the 2nd International Conference on Green Aviation (ICGA2024) was held in Chengdu, Sichuan, on November 6-7, 2024.

Hosted by School of Energy and Power Engineering of Beihang University, the forum was moderated by Professor Xungang DIAO. Key attendees included Zhuoning DONG, Party Secretary of School of Energy and Power Engineering, and Lu QIU, Vice Dean of School of Energy and Power Engineering.

 

On November 6, experts presented on various topics, including ethanol electrochemical reforming for hydrogen production, hydrogen turbine dynamics, and hydrogen-powered aircraft technologies. Presenters included Professor Germano Tremiliosi-Filho from the University of São Paulo, Professor Zhuyin REN from Tsinghua University, Professor Michael J. Pekris from the University of Surrey, Professor Claudio Geraldo Schön from the University of São Paulo, Professor Ljiljana Medic-Pejic from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and Professor Xiao HAN from Beihang University.

 

On November 7, further presentations covered clean hydrogen production, magnetic-assisted seawater hydrogen production, and hydrogen sensors. These were presented by Professor Hamilton Varela from the University of São Paulo, Professor Evangelos V. Christoforou from the National Technical University of Athens, Professor Felipe Carneiro da Silva from the University of São Paulo, Professor Suk Won Cha from Seoul National University, Professor Jung-Sik Kim from Beihang University’s Sino-French Engineering School, and Professor Agnieszka Joanna Pawlicka Maule from the University of São Paulo.

 

The forum also featured three paper presentations from researchers at Chinese Aeronautical Establishment, Ligeance Aerospace, and AVIC Xi'an Flight Automatic Control Research Institute. They shared their research on micro aerial vehicles, large electric cargo drones, and voltage surge monitors.

 

The event fostered lively academic exchanges, with discussions on cutting-edge technologies in green aviation. Presentations in English underscored the international character of the forum. The sub-forum successfully provided a platform for global experts to exchange insights and was highly praised by attendees.
